Once Upon A Sock
Before our brand began in 2013, we asked ourselves what we sought in a perfect sock, and you might say we made three wishes:
- Beautiful, vibrant colors, perfect for pairing with classic and modern fashions
- Comfort above and beyond any other novelty socks on the market
- Designs that delight down to the smallest detail, never settling for just “good enough”
With these wishes in mind, our ModSocks tale began. Many more socks and stories have come along since then, but our earliest ideals have always guided each new chapter of our journey.
Now we embark on our latest adventure — a reimagining of our brand that allows us to express everything we love about our socks in a language that speaks to the dreamers, the wanderers and the romantics like us.

The Color of Magic
We've found that socks often suffer from a lack of imagination when it comes to color. Starting the day by pulling open a drawer filled with black, white and gray? There has to be another way!
Colors set the tone of our sock line. We are always on the hunt for hues that catch your eye and don't let go.
When designing each new style, we take a fresh spin on the color wheel. Fan decks, formulas and thread samples — oh my! Like an artist mixing paint colors on a palette, our color choices are considered carefully from the first spark of inspiration to the final step of manufacture.
The result is a radiant ride over the rainbow into a world of color and style made for matching — or clashing!
The Perfect Fit
When you wear a sock that’s too loose, it bunches up in your shoes and falls down your legs. A sock that is too tight cuts off circulation and leaves a mark by the end of the day.
But a sock that fits just right? Move over glass slippers!
We make ModSocks primarily from soft cotton, the natural fiber of choice for fun sock wearers. We blend this with gentle elastic for unparalleled comfort on legs large and small. The result is a sock that stays up without digging in!
Our sizing stretches from a women’s 6 up to a men’s 13 and our knee socks can comfortably fit calves up to 16 inches in circumference, meaning you can find the perfect fit in a style that makes you smile.
Knee sock lovers can’t get enough of our loftier length, while crew sock fans rave about our stretchy cuffs. When a comfortable sock is your greatest wish, ModSocks are ready to grant it!
Enchanted Designs
Shrink yourself down to the size of a single thread, and you'll see a whole new side to our sock designs.
Like a knitter creating a complicated pattern, we pay attention to every stitch. Ours just happen to be made with the tiny needles on a sock knitting machine rather than the kind you can hold in your hand.
Designing a sock means constantly switching perspectives between the itty bitty world of pixels to a scale where we can take in the full picture. Our goal is to create socks that look great from all angles, with patterns that stretch in every direction instead of distorting as soon as they are worn by a real person.
We also love to include cheeky and unexpected details that reward taking a closer look, like a sloth that hangs from a stripe instead of a tree branch, a sheet music sock you can actually play, or a surprise you can only see when you take off your shoes.
